Central Kootenay Housing Survey

Thank you for your interest in housing across the Regional District of Central Kootenay!

This survey is part of the Regional District of Central Kootenay's Housing Needs Assessment. Information gathered from this report will help the Local Governments identify existing and projected gaps in the Region's housing supply and will assist the Regional District, the eight participating member municipalities and eleven electoral areas, plan for safe, affordable and accessible housing that will adapt to the changing needs of the community. 
 

All housing needs reports are required to contain the following, based on an analysis of the information collected:

  • Statements about key areas of local need, including: affordable housing, rental housing, special needs housing, seniors housing, family housing, and shelters and housing for people at risk of homelessness
  • The number of housing units required to meet current and anticipated housing needs for at least the next five years
  • The number and percentage of households in core housing need and extreme core housing need


Personal information you provide in this survey is collected pursuant to section 26 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This information will be used for the purpose of the Regional District of Central Kootenay Regional Housing Needs Assessment Project.
